Unable to Check or Configure PHP Version in LocalWP – Need Help

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using LocalWP for WordPress development, and I’m facing an issue when trying to manage PHP versions on my local sites.

I want to check or change the PHP version for a specific site, but I’m not sure exactly where to do this or if I might be missing something in the settings.

I’ve tried looking through the site configuration and preferences, but I couldn’t find a clear option or the changes don’t seem to apply properly.

Could someone guide me on:

Where to check the current PHP version in LocalWP
How to switch between different PHP versions
Any common issues that might prevent changes from applying

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi @pankaj09!

When you’re looking at your site in Local, there should be a little PHP drop down arrow to select what version you would like. After selection, you’ll then click Update next to the PHP version selector.

If that isn’t visible or working for you, could you share some details with us about what Local version you’re on and the OS/OS version of your device?
