Unable to connect to .local url

Hi, was wandering if anyone could give me some pointers - I’m running the latest version of local on Mac, the install went fine & managed to create a new site but when I go to view it in the browser I get a err_connection_refused

Any advice would be super helpful here

Update - have tried a few things but no luck yet

  1. I’ve compleatly uninstalled / reinstalled Local as per instructions on another post
  2. Have cleared the browser DNS cache (and tried in different browsers)
  3. Pinged the address in terminal to make sure test.local was pointing to my local IP (it is)

Im still getting the connection refused message on my macbook, but a clean install on a different computer using the same steps worked perfectly 1st time
