Unable to provision site, site creation error - macos

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I’ve just installed Local, I wanted to create the first page but I get an error.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Hi @Morrow

Did you download the Apple Silicon version of Local? If so you’ll need to make sure you have Rosetta installed.

A command like this should work:

usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta

I have not installed Rosetta bcs I have an Apple Silicone (m2) processor and I installed Local for Apple Silicone, and Rosetta is intended for applications that normally run on macs with Intel processors, so should I really install it even though I installed Local for Apple Silicone?

Yes, per our Minimum Requirements on the doc above:

Rosetta 2 is required for Local’s Apple Silicon build due to the Nginx and MySQL Lighting Services compiled on the Intel architecture.

It is on our roadmap to eventually have a release out that won’t need this but for now it will be required on those machines.
