Warning! Missing Hosts entry (macOS Monterey)

Issue Summary

I have just updated my iMac to macOS Monterey and created a site but however, it comes up with the warning sign “Missing hosts entry” every other site is working except the new one I have just created.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

    • No, it only happens to the new site I have just created, the old ones still work fine

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

    • No I’m unable to do that.

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?

    • Version 6.1.8+5621

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • macOS Monterey

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
