Where do Blueprints get stored on MacOS?
When you create a Blueprint, the process just completes and there’s no info or docs about where it is.
This answer suggests it’s in ~/Library/Application Support/Local by Flywheel/blueprints
, but both my user ~/Library
and root /Library
do not contain a Local by Flywheel
directory, neither directly in it or nested within Application Support/
General issues with Blueprint documentation
To further on that, I think the Blueprint docs need to be written/extended a lot:
-
Windows users also don’t know where Blueprints get stored, and seem to encounter errors
-
The fact that you need to right click on a site to create a Blueprint is pretty tucked away, and difficult to find (versus previous versions of Local, where it was apparent)
-
I had to switch my MySQL version around just to get Blueprints to work, as described in this ticket from a few years ago
-
It seems other users have issues where Blueprints error out on import, so I’m wondering if this is a low prio (there isn’t even a tag for Blueprints in this support forum) or under-tested feature?
- MacOS Catalina 10.15.7
- LocalWP 5.9.2
- Apache
- PHP 7.3.5
- MySQL 5.7.28 (other versions wouldn’t work with Blueprints, the option in the flyout menu was just greyed out)
