I installed the latest update for 5.9.8 and it does not launch in Big Sur. I downloaded 5.9.7 and it launches straight away. If you need me to give you more info, let me know. I just wanted to bring it to your attention.
How did you install 5.9.8? Was this through Local’s updater, or did you manually download and install the latest version:
