Anybody able to get SSL working on Linux?

Hey folks, I just discovered Local and I’m very excited about it. Installed it on my Linux Mint 21.1 machine and was immediately impressed by how easy and quick it was to set up my first WP site.

Only thing, SSL won’t work even though I clicked “Trust” and it also says “Trusted”.

Is there a solution to this that a language graduate understands? I googled it and found a couple threads about the subject but they went miles over my head.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install Local on Linux Mint
  2. Spin up a WP site
  3. Click “Trust” in SSL settings
  4. Attempt to open site using https://

System Details

  • Local Version:
    Version 8.2.0+6554

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version:
    Linux Mint 21.1

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
