Trust button doesn't work

Issue Summary

Clicking “Trust” on the banner doesn’t work. Clicking “Trus” on the SSL row in “Overview” changes the text to “Trusted” but doesn’t do anything.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

I’ve only got one site that I can tell if it’s trusted.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Yes.

Replication

Cloned our WP site from WPEngine, tried to click “Trust” in banner and “Overview” “SSL”

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?

    • 6.4.1+5978
  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • Windows 10
  • Attach the Local Log

This issue is similar to Flywheel is forcing https and trust button not working except that issue is closed, and I have this issue in Chrome and with a .local domain (as opposed to FF and .dev)

As a side note, my coworker is unable to start or stop a site, including even a “hello world” one. It runs forever, even waited an hour. Restarted Local and the PC multiple times. Also latest Local and Windows 10.

Thank you in advance!

Hello @justingolden - thank you for bringing your question to the Local community!

Have you seen this help doc with helpful troubleshooting tips for SSL + Local?

Let’s start there!

Thank you for the quick response. I had actually seen that before.

It turns out imply replacing https with http will work for our local development environment, and we should be fine on production anyway. I’ll reply or reopen if I need additional assistance. Thank you.
