Cannot update any site

I cannot update any local sites’ versions of wordpress or php as when it trys to download, it never completes.
This also happened when I clicked to update the latest version of LocalWP. I had to download it seperately and update it manually.

I’ve tried all sites I have with the same result
Running on Windows 11

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Usually, when this happens, it means there is a security blocker. This could be an application on your device, a permissions issue, or if you’re using a company network or proxy, then they might be filtering out requests Local is trying to make.

To get started: We have a Windows Troubleshooting guide below that goes over some common items worth checking. For example, make sure you’re running Local as an admin user, that you don’t have any security blockers, and that Local has access to update your Hosts file.

If you’re using a Network Connection, like from an employer, you might have to contact the IT department and check if they are blocking any of the URLs that Local tries to reach out to. More on this here:
