Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Since this is a screenshot I can’t troubleshoot the full error. If you’re having trouble getting Local to update you might download the latest release to update manually.

  1. Quit Local if running
  2. Download the latest release: Releases - Local
  3. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Local.app to /Applications. If prompted to replace the existing version, go ahead and replace the existing version.

How do I upgrade localwp successfully?

Do you have any antivirus, security, or firewall applications that could be blocking Local? Are you logged in as an admin user? It might be that something on your machine is blocking the download/update and preventing access.

I have the same problem, were you able to solve it?

Did you try updating Local manually?

Have you checked for any conflicting apps or programs?

Yes, I tried updating manually (even the latest version 9.0.5).
Also from the app.
I originally installed the software with the same current programs and had no issues, but now I can’t update it. I don’t want to lose the sites I currently have generated locally.

@sessionstudio – what version of Local do you currently have installed? Also, how did you install it initially?

Can provide the Local Logs? You can get a zip of those logs by clicking the “Download Local Log” button from the “Support” tab of Local. See this help doc for more information:

Sorry for the delay, I have version 9.0.3+6684. I downloaded and installed it without any issues, but I can’t update it. Neither with 9.0.4 nor with 9.0.5.
