'Chrome Beta' missing in deafult browser selection menu

Bug Summary

I have both Chrome and Chrome Beta installed on Windows 11, and I can’t see Chrome Beta in the default browser selection menu. I can’t say about beta/dev versions of other browsers.

Environment Info

  • Local - Version 9.0.5+6706
  • Windows 11 Home - Version 23H2
  • Chrome - Version 129.0.6668.59 (Current System Default Browser)
  • Chrome Beta - Version 130.0.6723.6

Things I Tried

  • Running Local as administrator
  • Restart Local, Browsers, and Device

Why Not Just Use Chrome (Stable)?

Because, it’s a local environment, and even after using ‘trust ssl’ option, chrome identifies my browser as ‘not secure’. This disables certain site permissions I need for the development, like - clipboard, location, camera, etc.

Hi @abhishek1 - Thank you for your post! I’ve changed this to a Feature Request so others can vote, comment or follow along. Those Browser options are set by us, so adding in a different option would have to be considered for a future release.
