Copy Localwp and Local Sites to thumb drive

I use localwp on my laptop and copied localwp and Local Sites to a thumb drive to demo the development; upon opening local app on the thumb drive, it alerts that no sites have been created. How do I reconnect local to sites in Local Sites when copied to a thumb drive?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @rfsctech

It’s not quite that simple. If you’re using Local on another machine you’ll have to install it there, and then reimport the site into that version of the Local app.

You should be able to just take the site files and create a zip that you can drag and drop into the Local app to start the import. Or you can import them manually. Steps for both are here:
