Does this app 'local' edit non WP html pages?

Following Flywheel or Local App links did not reveal limitations of what webpages or kinds of html it would edit, so it was installed to find out. No option to open just one html file was found, so attempting to import my whole site on disc, off line, resulted in reaching the website folder (Mac Intel), but the ‘open’ button did not become ‘import’ as used by other kinds of apps. Also the drag and drop into a startup window target for dropping folder… that did nothing. Please let me know if this app and WP cannot edit simple html files.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi, @boatkin!

Local lets you run a WordPress site locally. It’s designed to work with WordPress sites, not other websites such as those that are plain HTML. There’s a full walkthrough here that might be helpful to you:

WordPress and Local are not code or text editors. If you want to edit HTML files or modify WordPress theme or plugin files, you’ll still need a code editor such as VS Code.
