ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR when trying to log in to Local account

Issue Summary

When I try to log in to Local it goes to https://localhost:49003/callback and gives me a ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.

Troubleshooting Questions

• Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
  This is not associated with a specific site.

• Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
  Yes, I have no problem accessing new or existing sites.

Replication

1. Open Local.
2. Click any link to log in to Local, e.g. click the profile button in the top left then click “Log In To Local”.
3. A browser tab opens and tries to load https://localhost:49003/callback but fails with ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR. Screenshot.

• Which version of Local is being used?
  6.0

• What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

  • macOS Big Sur 11.4

Found a fix thanks to this SO post. I went to Chrome://settings/privacy and cleared the items in the screenshot below for “all time”.

This also fixed a problem I was having with Mailhog.
