Error establishing connection with wpengine

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Updated my local to 7.1.2 +6410 and wanted to refresh my API connection with wpengine. Unfortunately when i generate a new API Username and Password I get “invalid username” and “invalid password” every single time. I have tried multiple times and generated new credentials as well as made sure i didn’t copy with any trailing spaces etc.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @tlarsh! This is related to a known issue on the WPE platform that has been escalated and will hopefully be resolved soon.

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Deleted old 7.0.1 version and installed 7.1.2; I logged in to WpEngine with new API keys, and worked fine; was able to pull a site and work on it and push; when I went to pull another site; the Connect screen said I had no sites connected; none were showing–normally there’s a long list; so I disconnected and tried to reconnect into WpEngine with a new API key and I get this error; wrong key and password; tried it several times, same message each time; so I tried to go back to 7.0.1, but same thing happened

Seems to be a wider issue with WPE/Local. I currently cannot pull/push any sites.

Hi @Jerry and @commify! This is a known issue with WPE for the moment so I’ve merged your thread here. They are aware and are working towards a fix soon. Thank you for your patience and communication.
