ERROR Installing Wordpress - command failed

Issue Summary

Just installed Local and won’t let me create a new site. It keeps saying Error Installing Wordpress and command failed lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: ____chkstk_darwin I’m using MacOS High Sierra, tried all suggested solutions in previous unresolved topics, and even had a flywheel engineer/senior engineer unable to solve the problem.

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

    6.6.0 mac

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
