Hi @a01300890! The latest Local version is actually 6.6.0. Do you want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version and trying again?

There may also be an issue with the OS you’re running. Are you creating a new site with the preferred set up or are you customizing the variables? Basically, what WordPress and PHP versions are you trying to run?

Hi, I have the exact same. I was having this issue before, then I found this thread, so I completely uninstalled Local following the instructions provided above, then re-installed using the link you provided, and I still get the same error.

I’m using Local version 6.6.0+6231 on macOS version 10.13.6.

I notice is in my WP site, PHP is set to 7.4, while Locals “Preferred” setup is 8.1.9, so I decided to upgrade PHP on Wordpress to 8.1. This doesn’t fix anything.

Please help. Thank you.

I’m having the same exact problem :frowning: Someone pls help us lol. Am stuck like this for two days trying to figure it out :’)

If you downgrade to PHP 7.3.5 do things work normally?

This is likely an issue with your OS reaching its EOL and newer PHP versions aren’t being compiled for it.

Even though this comment is related specifically to Mojave, it will provide some more insight.

This fixed it - thanks!

Good morning,
I’m on mac high sierra, I tried everything. It works with version 6.6.1 only with php version 7.3.5, above nothing works anymore. Hoping for a fix soon, that would be great.
In any case, congratulations for this application, much simpler and more practical than MAMP

Hi @fgvision - Thank you for your kind words about the application!

As far as your issues go this is due to the age of your OS. The only “fix” will be for you to eventually upgrade to a new OS in order to use more recent versions of PHP. Until then you’ll have to utilize 7.3.5 as a workaround.
