Error when trying to Sign in to WPEngine to connect account for push pull

Issue: Clicking on the WPEngine “Sign in” button in Local.app => Preferences => Connected Accounts opens web-browser with URL: http://localhost:49054/callback and no page loading.
Config:
M1 MacBook Pro 14
MacOS 15.2 (beta)
Local.app 9.1

Troubleshooting:
Installed Local.app version 9.0.5 , same issue
Verified many people have had similar issue but then due to WPEngine work. Checked WPengine status page: https://wpenginestatus.com no issues.
Tried connecting my Mac to a VPN to a different country: Same issue.
Copying the URL: http://localhost:49055/callback from Safari into Google Chrome worked!
Solution:
Perhaps latest versions of Safari has some security features enabled preventing the callback…
Setting Google Chrome as default browser temporarily seems to allow the initial connection to wpengine to run as expected.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
