Getting Forbidden error when trying to connect to WP Engine

What issue or error are you experiencing?

using the Sign In to Wp Engine button on Flywheel, used it plenty of times before without issue. Getting http://localhost:49054/callback?code=long-string… with “Forbidden” in the browser window.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Downgraded to previous version as suggested in another support thread, no change. Double-checked API key is active in WPEngine.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hey @sonicpixel!

Do you have any antivirus, security, or firewall applications that could be blocking the connection? Do you utilizing an office network or have an employer issued device that could have extra security filters on it?

Another possibility is that your IP has been flagged by WPE’s security. You could test or get around by trying out a VPN. Is that something you could attempt?

Turns out it must be a Chrome extension :man_facepalming: switched default browser to Safari and loaded up fine.
