Error with adding my first site with macOS Monterey

I continuously get the following error pop-up when attempting to even add my first site to practice with.

Error: Error: Command failed: /Applications/Local.app/Contents/Resources/extraResources/lightning-services/mysql-8.0.16+6/bin/darwin/bin/mysqladmin --password= ping

Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: ‘/Users/joseph-benjaminledbetter-walker/Library/Application Support/Local/run/h8bCvSkCd/mysql/mysqld.sock’ exists!

I’m having the same issue too, have you been able to solve the problem? No one seems to help here with this, most users uses Windows and not Mac
