For windows 11 UH-OH Unable to Provision Site

Hello,

I’m trying to run local on a new computer with windows 11.

I have tried all the given solutions i’ve found online but nothing works!! I tried restarting my computer, downloading it in a different space, I have turned off any firewall and since the computer is new I have not yet installed an antivirus that could block the programm. I have uninstalled and re-installed it multiple multiple times but nothing seems to work. I also tried downloading an older version which worked for a bit but not effectively. I tried downloading from both opera and chrome (don’t know if it affects either way). I’m hopeless!

Can anybody help me?

Hi @konrmj

We have a Windows Troubleshooting guide below that goes over some common items worth checking. For example, make sure you’re running Local as an admin user, and that Local has access to update your Hosts file.

Hello again,

Thank you for the fast response.

I followed and made sure that everything is as shown in the guide but nothing changed. I also have no spaces in my name or special characters

Could you share a full Local Log here for us to take a look and see if anything else stands out?

You can find instructions for finding it here, and then just drag and drop that zip file into your comment.

Retrieving Local’s Log File

of course!
local-logs.zip (25.8 KB)

Thank you @konrmj

I’m not seeing too much in the log yet to narrow down a culprit.

To confirm here:

  • You’re using your device as an admin user, and are running Local as an admin
  • The Hosts Files isn’t set to Read Only

Are you also getting the pop ups to allow Local to make changes on the device?

hello,

i have followed every single step from the troubleshooting, restarted my computer… everything! and it still shows this. I am getting the pop up to allow local after it rejects my try to create a site

Update: I just saw that following the path I’m missing the file mysqld.exe
What do I do?

It seems like something is still blocking Local on your device @konrmj

You may not have installed any security features but did it come with any already set up? Like Windows Defender?

When you tried uninstalling/reinstalling did you use the Windows specific steps here?

hello nick,

i unistalled it using the specific steps and i have deactivated the windows defender but still no luck.
