How can I find the html & css files for my site's theme?

Hello, I hope that all is well.

How can I find the html and css files for my site’s theme on local? (I am using a Mac) I went to the site folder, but found multiple style.css files; I can’t tell which one to use.

I want to reduce the padding around one paragraph block with background color that’s in my header’s cover. Please see: http://bonjour-friends.local.

Thank you so much for your time and help! Have a great weekend!

Kind regards always,
Nicole

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @nicolet301!

We aren’t able to view sites that only exist in your Local app unless it’s a shared Live Link.

Going back to the issue, where were you looking in the site folder? If you go to your site folder you’ll need to drill down to App>Public>WP-Content>Themes and then you should see your individual theme folders to go into for what you need.

If you’re still having trouble feel free to share some screenshots of what you’re looking at on your end!

Hello Nick,

I hope that all is well.

Thank you so much for your reply! I did go to the App>Public>WP-Content, but I didn’t go to theme. I just looked for the style.css file. I will take your advice and try looking for the right file now.

Thank you again for everything! May you and yours have a safe, wonderful weekend!

Kind regards always,
Nicole

Hi @nicolet301 -

Let us know if that worked for you and if you were able to locate the style.css file!
