How do I install imagick?

What issue or error are you experiencing?

When I create a site, site health displays the error: " One or more recommended modules are missing.

PHP modules perform most of the tasks on the server that make your site run. Any changes to these must be made by your server administrator.

The WordPress Hosting Team maintains a list of those modules, both recommended and required, in the team handbook (opens in a new tab).

  • Warning The optional module, imagick, is not installed, or has been disabled.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Create a new site, go to Tools > Site Health

Hi @VALR when you’re creating a site are you using the Preferred option or Custom with a different PHP version?

Hi @Nick-B I using the custom option with PHP 8.3

I’m on MacOS but I couldn’t replicate this with PHP 8.3.0 or 8.3.8.

Could you try some other PHP versions and see if you get the same thing?

Could you share your Local Log here as well? Retrieving Local’s Log File
