How does Mailcatcher work?

Hi,

I’ve recently downloaded Local by Flywheel and set up a development site. I don’t see info on hour Mailcatcher works or what it is?

Hi Tracy,

You can find MailCatcher under the Utilities tab for the site you’re working on.

To use it, simply open it up like it’s an e-mail client. Then, any time WordPress sends e-mail it’ll be intercepted by MailCatcher.

Please note: if you’re overriding wp_mail() with something like Mandrill, SendGrid, etc. MailCatcher will not intercept the e-mail.
