How to connect to .local website in android emulator

Issue Summary

I want to test my .local websites using the android emulator app, using website.local works great with xcode iphone simulator, but gives errors in andriod emulator

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
    All sites

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    yes

Replication

Install Run apps on the Android Emulator  |  Android Studio  |  Android Developers
run AVD manager
go to local website

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    5.10.4

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional
