I’m running a multi-site site with Local on OSX using subdomains.
When I create a new site and try to go to it I get:
This site can’t be reached
newsite.rootdomain.local’s server DNS address could not be found.
How can I resolve this?
Try using a subdomain instead of .local
dev.rootdomain.com
instead of
rootdomain.local
And probably the new sites will be reachable via
newsite.dev.rootdomain.com
That’s just a guess, though.
Hi @mac,
You should see a button that says Sync Multi-Site Domains to Hosts File under the Setup tab for that site in Local. If you click that and provide your admin password you should be good.
P.S. Sometime down the road we’ll have a DNS server in Local so this isn’t required.
