How to keep website running when computer (with Local) is off?

Probably a stupid question, but I am new to this
I am rebuilding my website on wordpress, with Local and flywheel, and I am just wondering how to keep the website live when I turn off my computer and the Local app?
The website has been connected to flywheel.

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hello @sjettika - the best way to think about Local is that it is local to your computer. Anything you are developing on Local will stay on your computer until you deploy that site to your host.

If you use Flywheel to host your site, you’ll push your changes to Flywheel using Local’s Connect feature. Once your changes are pushed, you should see your updated website live on the internet, and you can close your laptop. Your computer being open/turned on won’t have any affect on whether or not the website is live on Flywheel.

I have used the “push to Flywheel” button and it seems to work, but are you saying I need to do more?
Because the site still goes down when I close Local. It is also appearing as an earlier version on my phone and work computer for some reason.

You shouldn’t need to do more. If you log in to your Flywheel dashboard, you’ll be able to view your site and see that the site was pushed. Here is some limited info on Connect - Local Connect - Local

The earlier version may be a caching issue. I would recommend reaching out to the Flywheel support team, they would be very happy to give things a look and help you out! https://wpeng.in/83b5e3/

Thanks, then I know I didn’t mess it up at least. The Flywheel team couldn’t figure it out, but the Elementor plugin people are trying to see if it is something on their end
