I am stuck on "starting local machine"

Hello

I am stuck on “starting local machine”
It started correctly yesterday after a long time being pending.
But now it is “starting…” for 6 hours, nothin happens…

It was the same on install. i had to quit install when itwas the local machine part. After install restart, i have the “starting…”

So sorry for the trouble!

Can you both (and anyone else who stumbles upon this and is having the same issue) provide your local-by-flywheel.log file? You can find it by clicking on the menu button in the top-left then going to “Reveal Local’s Log”.

I’m having the same issue. Here’s my log:

I have found that this usually happens when I first try to open Local after the computer’s been shut down or asleep. If I then close it and try again, it loads straight away.

Hi @mchandler,

It looks like the log you provided to Jeremy during the chat might have been truncated.

Can you try going to Help » Reveal Local’s Log and then attach the file in a reply here?

Got it, thanks! Please open up Cmd.exe and enter and run the following command:

  • %LocalAppData%\Programs\local-by-flywheel\resources\extraResources\virtual-machine\vendor\docker\windows\docker-machine.exe rm -f local-by-flywheel

After you run that command please try reopening Local.

Once again, after running that try re-opening Local.

Local isn’t starting after that command?

What was the output of that command when running it in Cmd.exe?

Hi, I´ve got this message: “Error creating machine: Error in drive during machine creation: Error setting up host only network on machine start: The host-only adapter we just created is not visible. This is a well known VirtualBox bug. You might want to uninstall it and reinstall at least version 5.0.12 that is supposed to fix this issue.”
