I don't know how to move my local site to online?

I’ve had a great time learning WP and local has been an amazing help. However I’m at the stage where I’d like to take my site from local and move it online and make it live, but I’m rather unsure how to do this, or even what help terminology to search for. Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction!

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @Mark1!

Your next step will be deciding on a WordPress Host. Local is part of the WP Engine family of products, but you can host your site anywhere you choose, really. The benefit of hosting with Flywheel or WP Engine is that our Local Connect feature works directly with those platforms. That said, you can absolutely use any other host out there and migrate or manually move your site contents back and forth between them and the Local app.

This site has some good details on different hosting solutions:

Once you’ve chosen a host, that will help inform your next steps. For example, they might offer migration help where you provide your site contents to them. Or they might have their own migration plugins or a recommended method documented somewhere.
