I need some help ininstalling Local on ubuntu server

Issue Summary

I am trying to use the product local on my ubuntu server I unzipped your deb file. How do I run it and manage it from CLI?

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Do you have a CLI utility?

  • If not how do I get around it? any suggestions?

Replication

Just try to run local deb with the ubuntu server, there’s no CLI utility to help me start it with ui

  • Which version of Local is being used?

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • Ubuntu 22.0 Server LTS

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however, there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

What are you trying to accomplish via CLI?

Within the Local App you can interact with your site via CLI by clicking on Open site shell under the site name. Here is a screenshot. Image 2023-02-03 at 8.33.44 AM
