Is it just me or isn't Local very slow on macOS?

Always felt Local is very slow compared to other alternatives on the market. My local hardware is not the bottleneck here.

Thanks but don’t see what came out of this video or thread. I have allocated php memory 256mb even 512mb to see improvements but thats does not improve anything.

Running on a MacBook Pro from 2018 with 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7. 16Gb memory and MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.5.

Hi Tobias,

If you can provide benchmarks against other local solutions, that’d be great! We’d love to get to the bottom of why Local isn’t fast for you on macOS.

In the meantime, if you are running anti-virus, you might want to try temporarily disabling it (if possible) to see if realtime scans are slowing down the Local site.

Unfortunately I wont be able to setup any benchmarks but I appreciate you taking the time to follow up on this thread.

Local is excluded in the way it’s possible in Norton. Maybe I’m missing something, never run auto scans. Running them manually.

I posted here today to ask the requirements for Windows and mentioned also Macbook because unfortuntely: Local too slow for modern builders like Divi or Oxigen.
