Issues Connecting LocalWP to a Wifi Network - Help Needed

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using LocalWP for WordPress development, and overall it’s been fantastic. However, I ran into an issue while trying to set up my local development environment on a new machine.

It seems that when I try to connect LocalWP to my wifi network, it doesn’t recognize the connection and I can’t access the site locally. I’ve checked all my settings and ensured my wifi connection is stable, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions for resolving this? I tried reinstalling LocalWP and even restarted my computer, but the problem continues. I would appreciate any insights on this!

You may have an issue on your machine accessing your hosts (mac) or lmhost (win) file. Do yu have the sync domains to hosts file option? If not you may need o manually edit the respective files adding your localhost address name mapping.

What do you mean by “connect LocalWP to my wifi network”?

Are you trying to access the site from another computer on your Wi-Fi network? Or from the same computer Local is running on?

If you’re trying to access the site from another machine on your network, that won’t work because Local only serves traffic to your own machine.
