I updated local 2.0.4 to 2.0.5 on windows 10 64bit and when i start it doesn’t open anything
i only can see a process running in task manager. also after reboot the same thing when double clicking local by flywheel it doesn’t do anything.
I upgraded my mac from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5 and that works so far.
I downloaded the file 2.0.5 for Windows, and wanted to install the program. Everything seemed to go well, but the installation ended with an error message.
I haven’t seen anything about this message, in the community or the FAQ. What can I do?
I’m actually in the process of re-uploading a different build of 2.0.5 that doesn’t have that issue.
To answer your question: no. The Local installer will automatically remove any existing files (but not including the VirtualBox VMs, Docker configs, or Local configs).
So, when that build’s ready, you just have to download it and run the installer again and you’ll be good to go.
I seem to get it to start when running as administrator.
But then it is stuck at Starting local machine.
I deleted my log so it is fresh again.
On 2.0.5
These are the lines it gives :

Version 2.0.4 downloaded. Then the installation gives this error screen (that is discussed somewhere):
I have Speccy installed, and I see virtualisation is not supported. Does that mean I can not use local-by-flywheel?
Another issue: the laptop I am working on now has German Windows 10; it’s difficult for me that almost all English terms have a German ‘translation’. Tech German is not my cup of tea!
Also, I found out Spybot - Search & Destroy adds a read-only flag to the /etc/hosts file. You can remove it by opening Cmd.exe as an admin (right-click and run as administrator) and then running
