Local 9.1.1 won't start

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Hello,

I’ve just installed Local version 9.1.1 and it won’t start.

The process appears in the task manager then disappears.

I’m on Windows 11 which is up to date and I’ve already tested by disabling the antivirus and firewall while running Local as administrator.

There is no log in %AppData%\Roaming\Local\

In the event viewer I have this event:

I’m out of ideas, thank you if you have one!


What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Generally with this type of issue we find there is something the user didn’t realize was on blocking Local on their device. Another security application, dev applications or feature.

Is this a personal device or one issued by your employer?

Are you running other developer applications simultaneously?
