Local cannot start

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Cannot run (work without problem till yesterday, now no way to start).
Tried also to download, extract and run from rpm, still cannot start.


What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Just tried to run today.
Uninstalled, reinstalled (from aur), tried to reinstall manually all dependency, tried with rpm… Still just cannot run.


System Details

    Lastest actual release.

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version:
    Arch with plasma, updated.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

I am having the same issue. Local refused to run since I have updated to the new version.

Thank you for this report. It looks like a bug in Electron/Chromium affecting Linux (Local 9 uses an upgraded version of Electron).

For now, you could try downgrading to an older version, such as 8.3.2.
