I needed to test a new theme for my wordpress site so I did all the changes in local host. Now I would like to transfer this new website to the existing one. Can anyone explain me how do I make this local website live? To replace the existing one?

Take a look at wordmove. I just use it for a while to migrate (pushing / pulling) the websites from local to remote server.
It seems difficult with that code part etc. Does it work in Mac? Is there any easy plugin that does the job? Please let me know. Thank you!
There is no code part. It works in Mac and you just install Ruby and Wordmove according the wordmove Wiki. Then, create a movefile.yml with local and remote host(s) infos.
