I also continually get the ‘Missing Mailpit’ warning. I’ve tried rebooting the Mac (mini, m2) and still I get it. Someone please help because it’s honestly becoming useless - I can’t open sites to work on.
What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc
Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
I think you’re running into a few different issues here that might all be fixed by doing a full uninstall and reinstall. In order to refresh here and start with a clean slate could you give the below troubleshooting steps a try?
Export any sites that you have on Local and save them to a folder somewhere on your computer: Backup a Local Site - Local
Fully uninstall Local from your computer using the MacOS steps here: Uninstall Local - Local
Install the latest version of Local on this link but be sure to download the correct version if you’re using Intel or Apple Silicon on your MacOS: Releases - Local
Hi @robdobson - If you click on Site Folder in Local it will take you to your Local Sites directory. Or if you use your Finder on your device you can search and/or navigate there directly that way as well. You’ll just want to make sure you have those site files copied and saved somewhere. You don’t have to Start the site to grab them.
You can zip your site files and drag and drop the zip over your Local app to use the native import process or you can spin up a new, blank site and then manually import your content and DB overtop of it. Steps for both processes can be found on the link here:
