Missing hosts entry problem

I think I will need some help with this. I can’t resolve problems
I have a problem with a warning that says “Warning! Missing hosts entry. This site may be inaccessible.” after I click on fix it button I can see the following error pop-ups:

I have turned off my antivirus I have changed the host file manually I have done everything but it’s still showing the same problem help and please guide me on what should I do.

Version 8.2.0+6554
OS Windows 10 Pro

Hi @wahaj

After changing your AV and Host File settings can you create a new, blank site and access that okay? Or do you still get the same errors?

After Changing the files it is showing the same error and I can’t get access to a blank website

In order to refresh here and start with a clean slate could you give the below troubleshooting steps a try?

  • Export any sites that you have on Local and save them to a folder somewhere on your computer.

  • Fully uninstall Local from your computer.

  • Install the latest version of Local on this link.

  • Once installed, please restart the computer.

  • When the computer is restarted and turned on, close any applications that automatically run in the background (AntiVirus, Firewall, and other Developer applications included).

  • Check and see if the issue still persists. If so, please provide us with an updated log. Retrieving Local’s Log File
