Move a Local site to another computer (under extraneous circumstances!)

Hi, I’m hoping you can help with this ‘situation’ I created for myself.
I was doing a Local site on my Mac Book Pro …which is now running a High Sierra beta and as I have found out, Local isn’t compatible with that yet.

I then set up Local on my Mac Mini and then copied all the files in my local sites directory for the site I was building form the Mac Book Pro to the mini.

I thought when I loaded Local this site would come up. No joy there.

So I then created a site of the same name on the Mini, and copied the files from the MBP into the app directory. Somehow I got to the point where the theme and child theme I was using for the site were now there, but none of the pages or content I created.

Obviously this is more complicated than I thought it might be. Was hoping there is still a way though to ‘repair’ this situation. Appreciate any help! ( I know, I know…I’m like a cat that managed to get himself wedged into a tight corner and I need someone to pry me out!)

Hi @lidstone,

Sorry to hear! We should have High Sierra support soon.

In the meantime, let me know if How can I restore a site from a Local site folder? helps

Hi Clay,
Thank you for your help.
When I executed the command:
myloader -p root -d ‘app/sql --overwrite-tables --database local

I got the following error message:
** (my loader:333) CRITICAL ** : the specified directory is not a mydumper backup

Can you screenshot the contents of the app/sql directory?
