What issue or error are you experiencing?

My WP Local site disappeared after resetting my computer and I can’t find the files.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

The site was created on Local WP, then the computer was reset. The site no longer appears in Local WP and the files seem lost.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @Viriat - If you’ve tried searching your device for the site name, Local, etc and aren’t turning anything up then it’s possible the site is lost unless you have something like a Time Machine backup you can turn to.

In the future you can use our Cloud Backups add on to save a copy of your site to the Cloud, you can take a manual export copy to save to your own Cloud or external storage:
