Newbie in town… cannot access internet via Wordpress in flywheel I server configuration problem

Thank you for your software, I really find it very useful. I just installed flywheel and manage three sites at the moment. One think I really like is the possibility of ceating a live link!

Unfortunately I have an issue with getting from my WP-Site into the internet, I cannot download any plugins or themes directly or register for anything online:

For example I get the following note when trying to install a plugin:

(WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in /app/public/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 168

Could this be a problem with my MacOs – I have MacOs 10.9.5 and am working with Firefox and Wordpress/Elementor. I also allowed Flywheel to access the Internet via „Little Snitch“.

Or do you have any other suggestion?

I’m sorry about the troubles you’re having. I think this article might be able to help you along: Help! My Local site cannot establish a connection to WordPress.org. If the issue persists after trying that could you respond with the version of Local you are using and a log file.

I’m having this exact same issue, even following that article.

  • Using Local by Flywheel v2.4.5
  • macOS Mojave 10.14.2 Beta
