Not able to open Local after most recent update

Issue Summary

Local does not open after latest update. There was a prompt to update I clicked yes, but the files were not successfully compressed. If I go to the exe file location I can see some files from the previous install and some from the latest. :point_down:



Any help/resources that will help me understand how to replicate the issue would be great. I’m flagging this, but cannot be more constructive without a little advice.

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    The exe file is and the product number is I believe the latest update is substantially higher?

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    Windows 11 Home

  • Attach the Local Log. See this Help Doc for instructions on how to do so:
    Application cannot be opened to generate logs and no logs can be found at

Tbh, Just deleted the directory at from C:\Users\my-username\AppData\Local

Completed a fresh install and it’s fixed! Painless :sunglasses:
