OPcode cache is not enabled

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Site Health gives a warning message “Opcode cache is not enabled”

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

I am testing WP 7.0 beta 1 in localWP.

After the upgrade from WP 6.9.1 to WP 7.0 beta 1, the Site Health now gives a warning message “Opcode cache is not enabled” and refers to the Opcache documentation of PHP.

No problem with nginx, only with Apache…

My setup is Windows 11, localWP Version 9.2.9+6887 and PHP 8.4.10.

I see a similar topic ( How to enable OPcode cache [OPcache] in localwp? ), but it doesn’t help me.

How can this be solved ?

System Details

  • Local Version: 9.2.9+6887

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
