Open Site Shell Doesn't Work After Denying Popup on macOS (SOLVED)

After clicking “Open Site Shell”, I quickly denied a popup and now have been searching online for 2 hours how to get it to work and I’m closer to solving it, but I honestly just don’t know enough.

I changed the file permissions to this file /Users/Name/Library/Application Support/Local/ssh-entry/theFileLocalCreates.sh. I am able to then drag and drop the .sh file into terminal and it runs.

However, if I try to click “Open Site Shell” once again in Local, it will open terminal but keep the window closed and it actually changes the permission of the file back to not being executable. I must set permissions to the .sh file again.

I’ve tried setting both Local and Terminal to “Full Disk Access” just to see if that solved it. It did not…

Can anyone with knowledge please help me understand how to solve this? It’s less about the convenience and more that I just want to understand what is actually happening how to fix it.

SOLUTION:

So I looked around a bit more and the setting to fix this issue was in Privacy & Security > Automation > Local. There is a toggle to allow Local to control Terminal. I figured I’d leave this up in case anyone else runs into this and is curious. I know you guys would have helped if i gave you time to reply! Thanks
