Problem with saving home page after modification

Hi guys, I created a site with “Local” and now I’ve exported it and put it online. However, I have a problem, if I modify the home (and the problem is only with this one) when I publish it nothing happens in the sense that the system does not proceed and does not save. I tried to modify the same from “Local” and it works how can I solve it!? Thank you.

Hi @ekkelon

If the system isn’t proceeding or saving at all then it’s likely an issue with your environment. Maybe your site needs more memory, PHP Workers, a higher timeout limit, etc. Are you using a managed WordPress host? If so you could check with their support and see if they have any insight or recommendations. Or maybe they have some error logging available.

Hi Nick,
The problem is that the saving of modification page is ok for all other pages and the problem is only with one page … the Home page.
It’s stranger no!?
Thank you for your support.

Definitely strange @ekkelon!

When you try and save the page if you open your dev console do you see any errors in there?

You might also try debugging with a tool like Query Monitor: Debugging your WordPress site using Query Monitor

Again, if you are able to get any error logs from your hosting provider that might help pinpoint a culprit as well.

Hi Nick,
No error message in backend if ai press publish the indication activity bar start from left to right but the circular indication of saving process rotate without saving the page and still remain in this situation until I don’t refresh the page …. And at this point appear the message that if I continue I’ll lose all modifications.
But for me could be a problem of exporting procedure from Local to zip file because only on home page this problem appear.
I try also to duplicate the page…. And if I try to modify this clone page the problem still remain! :frowning:

Some other items you could try would be disabling all plugins, or swapping your theme out to see if that narrows down a conflict. Maybe the process will work with a certain item disabled or changed and then you’ll know what is causing a problem.

I’d still recommend reviewing the dev console for errors, checking error logs, or trying our Query Monitor as well.

If you’re using a managed WordPress host their support team might also be able to take a look at the site and recommend a solution.
