Rename sitename .local Issue

I created a local multisite which has somehow managed to end up named “sitenamelocal.local”
I tried using the “Change” button next to rename it but it gets stuck “provisioning services” which never ends - I’ve left it for hours. If I abort it the site seems otherwise fine but the problem remains. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi @renegade

Is this a new, blank multisite? If so it might be easier to just completely delete it and start fresh. We also have a multisite guide for Local here as well if helpful with other tips:

Thanks Nick-B. I imported the multisite to local using Wpvivid Pro which supports multisite (both types) but there are definitely limitations and issues with the resulting imports. Do you think the local.local renaming issue I am experiencing is limited to multisites - I don’t understand the process carried out to rename the site/s but it does seems a “bit clunky” in general.

Hi @renegade

As a test could you spin up a new, blank site in Local and then try renaming it and see if that works? That would help determine if there is something amiss with your device or if it’s just a problem with the specific multisite install.
