Keep getting a message that my local site is not secure. My live site is fine, but somehow I broke the local site. So I tried to pull down the live site on local but does not fix the problem. So I deleted the site (after saving my log file) then tried to pull down live site to local agian. Still getting “Your connection is not secure” message. How do I start over with local?
This warning is common when using HTTPS/TLS on local sites. The vast majority of certificates used for local sites are self-signed which will be flagged as not being secure since they weren’t created through a trusted authority.
Fortunately, it’s nothing to worry about and there’s an easy fix in Local. Simply go to the site in Local, then SSL, then click on the “Trust” button.
Once you do that, the warning should go away.
