Several errors when trying to backup/transfer website

What issue or error are you experiencing?

So over the past few months, I have been working on a WP website (and have been using Codex to generate themes and plugins). I tried transferring the website to a new computer, I am not able to.
I tried using the export feature, and when I imported that zip, it was an older version of my website (I see missing changes). I tried using the cloud backups feature in Local, and it creates the files on my Google Drive, but when the backup finishes I get the error “Backup failed: stdout maxBuffer length exceeded”.
I tried using WPMigrate, but when I tried importing in Local, I got “Error while trying to read zip archive”.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Honestly I have no idea.

System Details

  • Local Version: Version 10.1.1+6939

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version: Windows 11

Local Logs

It’s difficult to retrieve logs, being that I am working with 2 different computers. If requested, I could try.

Hi @pete543!

Is there anything unique about the site’s configuration? Multisite? Overly large database or media library?

Do you have any additional site backups or DB backups stored within the site files?

Any of the above might be causing a complication with a migration/import, but if you have a backup zip something you could try on the second device is doing a manual workaround like this:

Manually Import a Local Site

Keep us posted and we’d be happy to help further!

Hello,

It is not a multisite, but I do have a few hundred images in my media library.

I will check if I have additional site backups stored within the site files, and I will try manually importing, and then get back to you. Thank you!

Any updates here @pete543?

Yes, manually importing worked!

Glad to hear it @pete543! Thank you for following up :green_heart:
