Import Issue

Unfortunately I am facing the same problem. I export through LocalWP, then send it to a different computer, import the ZIP, and when running the site I notice I am missing some pages I recently made.

Hi @pete543!

I’ve moved your topic into it’s own post so we can drill down on details a bit.

  • Have you tried using the native Cloud Backups feature to see if that works any differently?

  • Does this happen for any site? Or just a specific site you’re working on? For example if you were create a new, blank site, create a post with an image and move it does the same thing happen?

  • What is your OS/OS version for each device?

  • What version of Local are you on?

  • Please attach a copy of your Local Logs for us to

Keep us posted and we’d be happy to help further!

I see that this post was moved to its own post. I just wanted to say, that I just updated my post (which is the one he originally posted on) with a “Work Around” that got my website finally working again. I’ll leave it up to Nick-B if he wants to tag that thread, but I’m at least letting @pete543 know in case he wants to try it. His comment on mine, reminded me that I forgot to update my post. :victory_hand:

Thank you @Azdolfan! I moved this to its own post since we didn’t have many details yet and I wasn’t sure the two were related. We’ll see what @pete543 has to share here

I have used the Cloud Backups feature; that seems to fix it! However, to me it is more cumbersome than using the export feature.

I am only working on one site through Local, and I haven’t had this bug until recently, so I think this is a specific case scenario. If you would like me to create a new blank site and try to replicate the issue, I could!

Both devices are running Windows 11.

The LocalWP version of both devices is Version 10.0.0+6907.

Unfortunately I will not have access to the export computer for a few days so I cannot attach the logs at the moment

Thank you for the follow up @pete543! I’m glad the backups method is working for now as an alternative.

Testing a new site, when you have time, could be helpful to determine if the issue is happening for any site or just the specific site you’re working on. Because if the problem is just with the specific site, then there might be some other conflict within it’s configuration or a plugin/theme.

No rush on testing or logs however. Glad you have your workaround for now, but keep us posted if you have any other questions or details.
