Sites dont load on OSX after update

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Sites dont load, just waiting … I have restarted a couple of times and updated both Local (silicon) and OSX to latest version of Sequioa

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Just trying to start any site. It will load eventually after several minutes, but any subsequent page refresh just stalls as before

System Details

  • Local Version: Version 9.2.9+6887

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version: OSX Sequioa 15.7.2

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Are you able to create any new, blank sites in Local and access those @optimystery? Or do you run into the same trouble?

A new site loads fine

Okay that’s great!

As a test can you try reimporting a site that’s having trouble and see if it works anew?

The steps would look like this:

  • Locate the site files on your machine, and save a copy of them to your desktop. If you click Go to Site Folder under your site name it should take you right to where they are located.
  • Once you have those copied, completely delete the site from Local
  • Restart Local/your machine
  • Reimport the site back into Local. You can refer here on how to Restore from only Local site files

I can do that, but it’s a real hassle to have to rebuild my local sites. Why is this happening?

Sorry @optimystery I may have misunderstood your original issue after re-reading your post.

So your sites Start (when you click the Start button in the corner), but they just are slow or not loading within your browser. Is that correct?

If that’s the case you might check through our Performance help guide to try and narrow down the issue further: Troubleshoot: Performance Issues - Local
